A short story about a late phone call, a lapsed policy, and why we built an app that would rather speak to your heart than your schedule.
We went looking for a better place to keep these dates. Everywhere, the same toll booth stood at the door: an email, a password, a permission, a fifteen-second ad.
We were trying to remember a birthday, not open a bank account. The names of the people you love, their dates, your private notes: that is not data. That is your family. It belongs on your phone and nowhere else.
So we set one rule: DateWise would ask for nothing, and keep everything with you.
A reminder should do what a good friend does: tell you what is happening and why it matters. So DateWise doesn't just ping. It speaks, in a voice you pick, with a line that actually helps. Choose a moment and listen.
Example wording, to show the idea. Voice playback uses your browser's built-in speech.
Same date. Same phone. Completely different morning.
The best reminder is the one you actually create. So adding one should feel like sending a text. Type it, or say it, in your own words:
Under thirty seconds. No form. No account. Everything pre-filled, so you can go back to your day.
Four promises that sit under every design decision, and that we'd rather not break to make a quick rupee.
Give it a proper reminder. Then go call someone you love.
