Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the DateWise mobile application ("the app") developed by WiselyRise. By downloading, installing, or using DateWise, you agree to these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using DateWise, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

2. Description of Service

DateWise is a personal reminder application that helps you remember important dates such as birthdays, anniversaries, and other events. The app offers:

Free Features: Create and manage reminders, local notifications, local backup and export, import from contacts, relationship tags, app lock.
Pro Features: Google Drive backup & restore via Google Sign-In (text and optionally photos), custom reminder types with emojis, custom relationship tags, and other premium features as introduced.

3. User Accounts

DateWise does not require account creation for basic use.
Google Sign-In is required only for Google Drive backup (Pro feature).
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account credentials.

4. Pro Purchase

4.1 Purchase

Pro features are available as a one-time in-app purchase through Google Play Billing. The purchase is tied to your Google Play account and can be restored on any device signed into the same account.

4.2 Refunds

Refund policies are governed by Google Play's terms. Please refer to Google Play's refund policy for details.

4.3 Feature Changes

We may add new Pro features over time. Existing Pro features will remain available to all Pro users.

5. User Data & Content

You retain full ownership of all data you enter into DateWise.
You are responsible for the content of your reminders and notes.
We do not monitor, review, or moderate user-created content.
You may export or delete your data at any time.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app.
Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' data or our servers.
Use the app for any unlawful or prohibited purpose.
Distribute, sublicense, or resell the app or its features.

7. Intellectual Property

The DateWise app, including its design, code, icons, and branding, is the intellectual property of WiselyRise. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

DateWise is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that:

The app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
Reminders and notifications will always be delivered on time (delivery depends on device settings, battery optimisation, and OS restrictions).
Cloud backup data will be preserved indefinitely.
Avatar photos may optionally be backed up to Google Drive when "Include Photos" is enabled. Photo backup depends on network availability and storage space.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, WiselyRise shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to missed reminders, data loss, or service interruptions.

10. Modifications to the App & Terms

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the app at any time.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in India.
