These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the PixWise mobile application ("the app") developed by WiselyRise. By downloading, installing, or using PixWise, you agree to these Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using PixWise, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
2. Description of Service
PixWise is a local gallery application for Android that lets you browse, organize, and manage photos and videos stored on your device. Key features include:
- Timeline & Albums view — Chronological timeline and album-based organization.
- Lite Mode — One-tap hiding of private albums when handing your device to others.
- Secure Space — Biometric-protected private vault stored in app-private storage.
- Recycle Bin — 30-day soft-delete recovery for deleted media.
- Rename, rotate, wallpaper, share — In-viewer media management tools.
- Smart search — Search by date, type, and file size.
PixWise is a free app. All features are available without payment, subscription, or account creation.
3. User Data & Content
- You retain full ownership of all photos, videos, and other media on your device.
- PixWise does not upload, copy, or transmit your media to any server.
- Data stored within the app (Secure Space, Recycle Bin, album metadata) remains on your device and is your responsibility to back up externally if desired.
- Uninstalling the app permanently deletes Secure Space contents. We are not responsible for data lost due to uninstallation or device failure.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app.
- Attempt to circumvent biometric or PIN authentication measures.
- Use the app for any unlawful or prohibited purpose under applicable law.
- Distribute, sublicense, or resell the app or any of its features.
5. Permissions
PixWise requests only the Android permissions necessary to function as a gallery app. You may revoke permissions at any time through your device settings; doing so may limit app functionality. See our Privacy Policy for a full description of each permission.
6. Intellectual Property
The PixWise app, including its design, code, icons, and branding, is the intellectual property of WiselyRise. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
PixWise is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that:
- The app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
- Recycle Bin items will be preserved if you clear app data or reinstall.
- Secure Space data will survive a factory reset or app uninstall.
- The update checker will always reach our servers (requires active internet).
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, WiselyRise shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to data loss, accidental deletion, or device issues.
9. Modifications to the App & Terms
- We reserve the right to modify, update, or discontinue any part of the app at any time.
- We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
- Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in India.
