How GramWise handles your data — in plain English.
GramWise ("the App", "we", "our") is developed and maintained by WiselyRise ("WiselyRise Solutions", "us"). This Privacy Policy explains how GramWise collects, uses, stores, and protects your information when you use the GramWise mobile application on Android.
By using GramWise, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the App.
All data you enter in GramWise — including jewellery items, metal types, weights, purities, purchase prices, family member names, storage locations, savings goals, and photos — is stored exclusively on your device in an encrypted local database (SQLCipher AES-256).
This data is never transmitted to WiselyRise or any third party. We have no visibility into what items you track, their value, or any personal details you enter.
When GramWise refreshes live metal prices (Gold, Silver, Platinum, Palladium), the App makes an API request to metals.dev, a third-party metal price service. This request:
If your device is offline, the App uses the last cached price and continues to function normally.
GramWise supports fingerprint and face unlock as an optional app lock. Biometric data is processed entirely by your device's operating system (Android Biometric API). GramWise never accesses, stores, or transmits biometric data.
GramWise does not currently integrate any analytics or crash reporting SDK (such as Firebase Crashlytics or Sentry). If this changes in a future version, this policy will be updated and users will be notified.
Since we do not receive your personal jewellery data, WiselyRise has no use for it. The App operates as a local-first tool — all processing happens on your device.
The live metal price API is called solely to display up-to-date market rates and calculate your portfolio value. This serves a direct user-facing purpose with no secondary data use.
All App data is stored in an SQLCipher-encrypted SQLite database on your device. SQLCipher uses AES-256 encryption. The encryption key is derived from your device's security credentials. Uninstalling the App destroys all associated data.
GramWise offers an optional App Lock secured by biometrics (fingerprint/face) or a PIN. The Decoy Mode feature allows a secondary PIN that displays an empty vault, providing additional protection under coercion.
GramWise does not offer cloud backup. Your data is not synced to any server. You are responsible for backing up your device data through standard Android backup mechanisms if desired.
We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise share your personal data with third parties.

GramWise is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information through our App, please contact us at contact@wiselyrise.in and we will take steps to remove such information.
Since all data is stored locally on your device, data retention is entirely in your control. Data is retained as long as the App is installed. Uninstalling the App removes all associated data from your device.
Because WiselyRise does not collect or store your personal data, there is nothing for us to provide, correct, or delete on our servers.

Continued use of GramWise after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
